(646) 652-2105 Is the Church Concerned? “Can Anyone Hear My Inside Cry? In today's society everything is in the automation stage. No one has time to talk. No one seems to take the time to hear what you have to say. Every time you pick up the phone to call someone, there's a prompt that says, press one, if you speak English, press five, if you know your parties' extension, press zero to speak to an operator. By the time you get to talk to a human you've given up. You needed someone to talk to before you killed yourself, before you killed someone else. You needed someone at that moment you were about to break, but no one was there. I asked the question is the church concerned because there are some new issues at hand that stem around our political climate. We all know from experience that church and politics don't mix. Church seems as they say to deal with your soul, but in my experiences the soul is what's outside of the church. The soul is the experiences of life that people have to deal with every day. Communities need leadership that is concerned about the frailties of life that tear at the deepest ends of our souls. Join us in a conversation with a man of God who is concerned about community and the issues of life that seem unbearable. Rev. James Nash is an advocate for the powerless.
