To our friends, neighbors and colleagues in the New York area affected by Hurricane Sandy, we hope and pray you are safe and as unaffected as possible. We have been offline for a bit, but do plan to air a live episode of The NY Hip Hop Report as planned. We welcome members of the NY-area hip hop universe to call in and share your experiences during this unprecedented event. Our audience, which consists of participants in hip hop music & culture, as well as fans & general NYers, will undoubtedly be interested in hearing from our community. We want to use the platform we have created at The NY Hip Hop Report to address the issues that our musical family faces, not just vain or self-serving purposes. We hope to get calls that will reflect this community-minded spirit that we believe in at The NY Hip Hop Report & our parent organization, Birthplace Magazine.
