?February 28: Mark Kellenbeck, statewide co-chair of Main Street Alliance of Oregon and Lee Mercer who is currently director of the Main Street Alliance of Oregon. Mark Kellenbeck is the statewide co-chair of Main Street Alliance of Oregon, one of its first members joining the movement in 2008 in support of health care reform. He is the co-founding principle of Cascade Management a 400 employee care community and affordable housing provider from which he retired in December of 2011. Presently he and his wife Kathleen are the owners of BrainJoy LLC a 4 employee health care provider specializing in neurofeedback. He is active in civic and community efforts having served on the local city council, numerous advisory boards and committees. He is presently the regional chair of the Health Care All Oregon, the single payer movement in Oregon. Lee Mercer is currently director of the Main Street Alliance of Oregon. For the previous 11 years he did advocacy, outreach and education on poverty, hunger and economic issues with Oregon Center for Public Policy and Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Cruz County (California). He co-chaired the California Hunger Action Coalition and was part of the leadership team of the Human Services Coalition of Oregon. At OCPP he staffed Oregonians for Working Families, a coalition to increase the state Earned Income Tax Credit. Before entering the non-profit world, Lee was a small business owner for 20 years operating motion picture theaters in California and Nevada as well as doing some work as a writer and film and video producer.
